Have You Started Reading Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth

Eckhart Tolle is great!  I can’t put his book down.  I am savoring every word.  And I definitely don’t want it to come to an end.  You know when you’re reading something you just love and you read very slowly so you can have it longer.  Well at least I know Oprah’s web class is starting on March 3.  This book, though, is not just about discussion.  It’s about taking action.  Did you start reading it yet?

Start reading A New Earth TODAY-
You will find practical teachings for waking up "to a new, enlightened mind-set. Begin the transformation into your most loving self".

Here is what he said on pg 75 that I found particularly enlightening:

Fighting disease will not eradicate it. Whatever you fight, you strengthen, and what you resist, persists. Whenever I hear, "the war against" this or that, I know it is condemned to failure as in the war against cancer. According to the Journal Of the American Medical Association, medical treatment is the third-leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer in the United States.

Homeopathy and Chinese Medicine are two examples of possible alternative approaches to disease that do not treat the illness as an enemy and therefore do not create new diseases.

Eckhart says A New Earth is about you. "It will change your state of consciousness or it will be meaningless" (p. 7). How will you know if your state of consciousness is changing? There is one certain criterion by which you can measure your success in this practice: the degree of peace that you feel within.
