This is a touchy issue since the US has always positioned itself firmly on the side of Israel. I like Obama's approach of talking to everyone, and thought the cowboy diplomacy of the Bush administration was deplorable. But much of the US thinks the Middle east is black and white. Pro-Israel, anti-everyone else.
